DURBAL® threaded rod ends with mounted bearings are specifically designed to handle defined misalignments in a connection, which is used to transmit forces over distance.
DURBAL® Rod Ends
- Classic Line
- Applications
- Features
The DURBAL® Classic line with integral bearings stands out for its high load ability, which is used for slightly swiveling movements or tilting movements at low speed. The absolute maintenance-free design can absorb any foreign particles and enclose them so that no damage happens. The design with pressed bearings is used for alternating loads or shock loads, which are preferred in case of large swivel movements, and are also suitable for rotating movements to a limited extent. The joint ball with hard-chrome plating minimizes friction and protects against corrosion.
- Connections with defined misalignments, heavy-duty
- Maintenance-free
- With integral or pressed spherical-plain bearings
- Available with left-handed and right-handed thread
- Available with internal and external thread
- Materials: Steel, stainless steel
- Premium Line
- Applications
- Features
Premium rod ends with self-aligning roller bearings are used for high speed, wide tilting angles, or rotating movements under high loads, which essentially benefits from its higher basic load ratings. The second design with self-aligning bearings is also used for high speed, but additionally for large swiveling angles or rotating movements with relatively low or medium loads. The special heat treatment of both types of ball bearings confers a raceway hardness, which greatly prevents friction.
