Halder offers an extensive standard product line of high-quality machine and fixture elements, which includes spring plungers, ball-ended thrust screws and ball lock pins. All these products have in common that they are suitable for fast and easy mechanical connections across a wide range of applications in machinery, automobile, and aviation industry.
Halder – For machine and fixture elements
- Spring plungers
- Features
Spring plungers consist of a pin, a ball and a spring. These elements come in a variety of materials, metric and standard sizes and can withstand light, standard or heavy loads. The pins are available with external thread (mounting by internal hexagon or slot drive), or with a smooth collar (mounting by pressing in). The use of spring plungers is very versatile and covers a wide spectrum of applications in various industries. They can be used to position and lock elements in the workpiece.
- Optimize locking performance haptically and acoustically
- Minimize wear on the counter part
- Micro-abrasion lubricating system, maintenance-free
- Plastic ball bearing can offer electrical insulation
- Temperature range -30ºC to 90 ºC
- RoHS and REACH compliance
New innovative product: Spring plunger with moveable ball.
For sensitive applications, Halder developed a spring plunger with a moveable ball, minimizing the wear on the counterpart. In addition to that, the plastic ball bearing are also electrically insulated.
- Threaded-lifting pins
- Features
Threaded lifting pins are quick and easy to use, robust support elements with which even heavy loads can be lifted safely. All that is needed for fastening in the workpiece is a suitable metric thread. By pressing a button, the threaded part retracts so that the threaded lifting pin can be inserted into the female thread of the load part. Releasing the pushbutton anchors the threaded lifting pin in the female thread. After a subsequent tightening of the threaded lifting pin, the load can be lifted. Threaded support bolts are available with and without a rotating shackle. The rotating shackle always aligns itself in the direction of pull during lifting without the lifting pin rotating. This prevents the load lifting device from coming loose.
- Max. loads of up to 840 kg with M16
- Easy installation at the push of a button, no screwing in
- Only a suitable metric thread is required
- 85 % time savings in assembly and disassembly compared to eyebolts
- Reusable
- A safety bar prevents unintentional loosening
- Safe lifting from different positions/angles
- Product and application safety certified by TÜV Süd (CE marking)
- An operating manual with EC declaration of conformity is enclosed with each product
- Available in two corrosion-protected versions
- Ball ended Thrust Screws
- Features
Ball-ended thrust screws are used for workpiece clamping and are used in the construction of operating equipment for machine tools. They consist of a standard screw with a crimped ball at the end of the thread and are especially suitable for clamping non-parallel surfaces.
In contrast to a spring plunger, the ball is not flexible and cannot be pushed inwards. The screws are available with or without head and are made of hardened heat-treated steel with torque force up to 1200 N/mm2 or stainless steel, while the balls are made of hardened ball-bearing steel or hardened stainless steel. Ball ends can be either flattened or rounded in design. Additionally, there is a specific ball made of thermoplastics for pressure sensitive applications.
- Protect against rotating, optimise load transmission
- Precise positioning, clamping and supporting of non-parallel surfaces
- Plastic ball bearing can offer electrical insulation
- Ball lock pins
- Features
Various types of the lock pins generally have a similar function, which is fast and quickly locking and unlocking without any additional tools. They are designed for frequent and repeated connecting, adjusting, locking and securing. When operators use this lock pin, they only need to release or press a button to lock or to unlock the balls. Due to the special mechanism which results in a positive locking, an accidental release of the pin is practically impossible.
- Different handles, such as T-handle, L-handle, safety handle, elastic grip, combination handle or handle with clamping span
- Corrosion-resistant
- Self-locking mechanism
- Outstanding wear resistance and load capacity
- Ergonomic grip design
- RoHS and REACH compliance
- Lateral spring plungers
- Features
Lateral spring plungers are used to securely position or clamp workpieces in one place. In manufacturing, this is especially useful if you have parts that need to be engraved, labeled, painted or welded for example. They are also available with a seal, to protect them from dust, chips and dirt. They are installed by pressing into a pre-drilled hole.
- Installation by pressing in
- With or without CR seal
- Light to heavy spring load
- Material body: aluminium
- Materials spring: stainless steel, steel blackened, steel zinc-plated (galvanized)
- Materials pin: steel (case-hardened, zinc plated) or thermoplastic POM, white
- Spring bodies
- Features
Similar to spring plungers, spring bodies can be used for locking and fine incremental adjusting in small applications such as a temperature controller in a car.
