Industrial manufacturers master the challenges of the industrial revolution best with lean processes and optimized products. The Bossard Group supplies the agility this requires through its new Assembly Technology Expert Services. With six modules, the engineering specialists plumb the potential in product design, on the production line, in C-parts supply, assortment configuration, and basic and advanced training. Thus streamlined, the requirements for faster time to market, lower production costs, and increased productivity are met – flexibly and with improved quality. Group CEO Daniel Bossard has this to say: "Our Assembly Technology Expert Services bundle over 185 years of experience in fastening technology with a holistic view of process costs for fastening elements and assembly procedures. By reducing complexity in the relevant areas, we put companies in a position to be more agile, thus ensuring their ability to compete."
Bossard Assembly Technology Expert Services
The six expert services can be used in their entirety or individually depending on the company's needs. Either way, the goal is to realize the ideal solution and a competitive product for the customer after analysis of potential improvements in product design and/or the assembly process.
In the initial Expert Walk, Bossard's technical experts conduct a detailed analysis of the production and assembly processes. In particular, workstations, assembly lines, and fastening elements and tools used are studied for potential rationalization and optimization. The goal: leaner and smarter production on every level.
The Expert Assortment Analysis is a review of the C-parts used in the warehouse and production to identify possible assortment reductions and optimizations.
Expert Design aims to improve the design of new products from the start, including additive production via 3D printing to identify the ideal fastening materials, elements, and methods.
In the Expert Teardown, existing products are reconstructed with a view toward the best fastening solution and quantifiable cost savings.
Expert Education offers everything from basic technical knowledge up through fastening technology design per VDI/VDE 2637 and others. Training is offered as desired via the web, the new Bossard e-learning program, directly at the customer site, or at our internal Bossard Academy.
Our Expert Test Services focus on implementing customer ideas under laboratory conditions. Parts, components, and fastening elements from the over 1,000,000-part assortment are used. Documented tests assure customers that the product meets the desired function. There are fourteen test centers in Europe, America, and Asia, three of which are ISO/IE 17025 certified.
