A few years ago, Komax decided to modernize its C-part management to streamline procedures and to better serve the technicians on the assembly lines. At that time, the company had 40 different suppliers for 2,000 C-parts. Managing the various C-parts was a full-time job for one Komax employee; additional resources from other departments were needed for procurement, invoicing and inventory management.
