What does full inventory transparency provide?
Five key advantages of full inventory transparency
Maybe you are familiar with a scenario where a tiny screw was missing and your product couldn’t be finished and leave your factory? Explanations are uncomfortable or maybe there aren’t any at all. I’m sure you would want to minimize errors like that. Implementing a system that provides full inventory transparency has five key advantages:
- Visibility
- Inventory management
- Supplier relationships & customer service
- Loss management
- Operational efficiency
Full inventory transparency provided by Bossard
Bossard offers a solution called Smart Factory Logistics. It provides full inventory transparency, which enables you to have a true end-to-end smart factory or inventory center.
The methodology of Smart Factory Logistics has different components. Two products are described below.
SmartBin
SmartBin consists of a combination of bins and specially developed weight sensors. SmartBin constantly checks current stock levels. When the minimum stock level is reached, the predefined order quantity is shipped automatically. Depending on the level of service, the parts are forwarded to your warehouse or directly to the point of use.
SmartCard
Bossard SmartCard is a combination of the original kanban card and the latest RFID technology. It can be implemented easily in every production process.
If an article is out of stock, the production employee just drops the RFID card into the electronic mailbox. The data will be sent automatically to Bossard, and Bossard will take care of replenishment.
